Late at night when all is dark

.....I look upon the sea.

..........The reflections of the shadows

...............sent out from under me.

.....

And in the dim when all is calm

.....I stare into the skies

..........to listen 'till the silence fills

...............with echos of their cries.

.....

Somewhere now a man is hurt

.....and I cannot delay.

..........I must at lest attempt to try

...............to get to him today.

.....

I pledged my life to those who lack

.....the treasures that I share.

..........True happiness is only shown

...............through products of out care.

.....

If what you want is money,

.....this I will not enhance.

..........For all you need is love and hope

...............and just another chance.

.....

So, day and night I fight the fight

.....to ever help the poor.

..........Deep inside I have the key

...............to open up their door.

.....

Soon the joy of love will sing

.....and echo in the night.

..........Then and there my task will end

...............and all will be just right.

.....

Till then, at night when all is dark

.....another day is done,

..........I look upon the nothingness

...............when all around is one.
